STAGED (pic 1 Before)
In Picture 1 Before, you see that there is a lot of clutter; a “cat condo”, a clock on the floor instead of on the wall, personal pictures on top of the TV cabinet. There is no real focal point because all the seating is against the each wall and not really facing anything in particular. Also, the window dressings on the patio doors have too much fabric and distract from seeing outside to the deck.
STAGED (pic 1 After)
In Picture 1 After, you can see that the floor and cabinets have been decluttered. By simply closing the TV cabinet doors, removing the items on top of it, and rearranging furniture, the focal point is moved to the patio doors. The window dressings on the patio doors are simple, but elegant.
STAGED (pic 2 Before)
In Picture 2 Before, you see the pet items and personal clutter. There are several different styles mixed together; country and modern art on the walls with country and contemporary furniture. Also, there is limited seating, and the furniture against the walls make the middle of the room seem big and bare. The curtains on the window are too short, while the sheers underneath are too long.
STAGED (pic 2 After)
In Picture 2 After, you see the room has been decluttered. The same furniture has been used, but by rearranging it, the space looks more inviting and makes the patio doors a bigger feature. Part of the old window dressings was repurposed as a “throw” on the couch, and as a cover for one of the potted plants. The end tables were repurposed by putting them together as a coffee table. The new window dressings and wall hangings bring a more updated look to the room and blend the colors together.
